
STAMFORD. - Republican Linda McMahon and Democrat Chris Murphy will face off in the general election on November 6 seeking a seat in the Senate of the United States, where one of the two will replace Joe Lieberman, who did not will run more for that seat.
Chris Murphy won 68 percent of the vote and defeated Susan Bysiewicz, who just had her for about 32 percent.
McMahon, meanwhile, won a clear victory, reaching 75 percent of the vote, after a 50-point advantage over Republican rival, former Congressman Christopher Shays.
